Default Noob Tire/Wheel Question -

I have stock 16" and am considering going with 17" tires/wheels - Can I just slap them on or is there any modification I must do to accomodate 17" tires/wheels?

Also... with 17", will I notice a handling improvement over 16"? To some or any degree?

If you buy Ford 17" wheels/tires (take-offs), they are a direct bolt-on. You can even use the same lugnuts. Stock size 17" tires (like on the Pony Pkg or GT) will not throw off your speedo. My experince shows better traction on wet roads (and looks better IMO).

Excellent choice for a mod! Mine came with 17s stock and Ive only felt tire squirm once, with the pedal to the metal on a colder than usual day, and the first turn a 1/4 mile from where i work. I woulda got the standard v6 if the ponypackage wasnt sitting right next to it. Excellent choice for a mod. you get performance, handling and appearence upgrades, good luck finding the best deal.
