Default Which Front STB should I get?

For those of you that know me... you know that I'm an indecisive SOB. So... help me decide...

1. Steeda Single Bar Front Strut Tower Brace with Billet End Caps - 555-5725 ($295); Looks more Fancy than Sturdy.

OR...

2. Steeda Double Bar Front Strut Tower Brace - 555-5718 ($155); Looks more Sturdy than Fancy.

And for those who want to know... Don at Steeda told me that if you have an 07 GT with the appearance package (i.e. intake plenum cover) or an 05-06 WITH the 07 plenum cover, you want to use the V6 version of the Double Bar Brace (if you want the double bar one). Contrary to what many sites have pictured, he says that V6 is ALSO a double bar brace (looks just like the V8 version, just a little taller I guess). If anyone, KNOWS something to the contrary please let me know.

Thanks,
JR

My advice? Get the one that you think looks the best becasue this is primarily a costmetic mod.

STBs are kind of a useless mod on these cars. The body is extremely stiff, and the strut towers don't flex. STBs might be a useful mod on late-80's ricermobiles but they aren't needed on the S197 body.

If you do want the stiffest bar, then forget Steeda and get the BMR.

Thanks for the info... I do realize that though. I'm pretty much getting it as a... "Keep my hood blanket off my plenum cover" + Chassis Stiffener + Looks good under the hood... piece.

BMR says theirs won't fit over the plenum cover.

Steeda has the only 2 I've found that fit over the cover and that I'm ok with the look of.
