Default Lowering the rear only?

Have any of you guys lowered you car using spring compressors? When I was much youger we used then devices that connected to the springs and when tightened they compressed the springs. I would like to lower the car just a bit but I do not want to make the ride any harsher, is this possible?

Pick up a set of Roush rear spriings ... they have just enough drop to even the stance
