Default upper strut mounts

anyone that has had their car lowered did they have to replace the upper strut mounts as well? I heard they are a one time assembly and will pop if new ones are not installed??

No need to replace the strut plates unless they are worn out. I heard that the nuts are one time use so i purchased some new ones but they take such little torque that i used the old ones and still have the new in the packages. No need to replace anything unless they are worn out. The strut plates are very inexpensive though so if you have any doubts they are only like 29.00 each

I didn't even remove the plates. I simply removed the large nut on the strut stud and released the compression on the spring using a floor jack. No popping or other strange noises. I also reused those nuts.
