I am in the process of installing Tokico D-Specs, with H R Springs. I have read that it's recommended to change out the thow-away plastic upper strut mount. Is this really necessary? I have everything sitting in my garage. I ordered the upper mounts over a week ago, and it's the only thing I am missing.

Any info is greatly appreciated.
