Well I have 285/45/18's on my front end and I am running them on a set of 18x9.5 steeda wheels. The car is lowered one inch up front and it hasnt rubbed yet. Hope this helps you some.

Thanks! I also swapped email with a guy named Moe who has a similar set up:
Hey Moe!
I saw your site. Are you running those Kazera KZ-A's in 18x9.5 on all four corners with the 285/40/18s? If so, any clearance issues?
[/align]Yup, on all fours... Since I also have the car lowered with the Pro-kit Springs, there is a little rub in the front. It so minor that it doesn't bother me. It only rubs sometimes (not always)if you turn the wheel completely as far as you can. The handling that you get it far worth it. Great traction on turns. The other minor issue is that since the tires are so wide, the car tends to follow grooves in the road. I would think it would be the opposite and just ignore the groove because of the width. Go figure.
I think I'm going this way.

I am planning on 285/40R18 in the back. What are the advantages and disadvantages of going with 255/45R18 in the front vs 285/40R18?
You guys are going big all around, while the GT500 has them staggered. Please explain.
Thanks.
