Spings installed upside down?
Hey while I was under my car I noticed that on my springs the eibach lettering or sticker is upside down. A buddy at he dealer did the spring install, So I asummed he did it right? could it be possible to install the rears upside down?
He did it wrong...the lettering should be right side up as per the instructions. Contact the Eibach tech line and talk to them, they can e-mail you the instuctions. I imagine the spring rate would be different if they were installed upside down.
With the rears it really dosen't matter...the spring dosen't know if it's right side up, or upside down...as long as the spring is symmetrical in it's mounting, which it is. The progressive part works either way, and being upside down or even sideways isn't going to change the rate. The fronts can't be mounted upside down, so I wouldn't worry about that.

put it this way, the fatter part of the spring should be at the bottom

I think with our cars it is different and Tacobill has a thread on installation of springs....here is a link https://mustangforums.com/m_3070963/tm.htm and I quote "Note: Tight wound coil going up into the body, loose wound coil toward axle. Steeda directions does not address spring orientation. I called Steeda Tech Support to validate correct position. Also, there's no mention on which way to orientate the coil pigtail ends, I just positioned the Steeda coil ends where the OEM ones were" I am sure it is this way for any of the rear springs. The fronts are different as stated earlier. Hope this helps J
