ChiDiddy:

A Watts linkage wouldprobably not beyour best bang for the buck. There are a lot of other things you could do for less. Here are my suspension mods.

Default RE: Best street suspension setup?

i greatly appreciate the help guys!

yes, the watts link idea is scraped.

i'll be going this route now:
-D-SPecs
-Steeda Ultralites
-BMR Adj. PB + brace (tie rod or poly version??)
-BMR Adj. LCA tie rod/poly combo
-BMR non-adj. 3rd upper link (poly) + mount
-BMR rear sway
-18's-19's + General Exclaim UHP tires
-Stoptech BBK 2-piece rotors + Axxis Ultimates +Motul Dot4

this is will be the first part of the suspension upgrades that i will be doing for now. Any input on the poly vs. tie rod parts above would greatly help.

also, the LCA relocation bracket would greatly help my goal for drag racing + boost, but i'm unsure on how to align the instant center angles myself....

You should really think about CHE parts. They are considerably cheaper than BMR's and are of the same quality! But both BMR, CHE, and Steeda sell superior products.

thanks for the heads up! i'll see about it some CHE parts, but i usually like to stick to one brand as much as possible. Cost really isnt a factor to me.

also, i based my list off CrazyAl's advice.

I'll concur if you can afford it go withSaleen Watts Link I did.

You can also go fay2 or lakewood wattsfor less money.

Me coming from a 350zI missed the independent rear supension.

The watts linkmade the car track and feel better plus it replaces the pan hard bar (not needed any more).

You cant go wrong with Toiko adjustables I did all the prototypeing for the 350z (the car handled great).

My supension is mostlyall Saleen shocks+ sway barsbut hated the ride height so I changed to eibach sportlines and love em (they worked well at Willow Springs).

very nice Saleen there Red6!

so with the Watts setup, will it still be able to adjust the axle like a Panhard bar does?

Dseid2,

I see your suspension setup is close to what I am shooting for. I have the Steeda Sports, ProAction dampers, Panhard bar and brace. I love what it has done for the car, but think I need just a little more flattening and a little more neutral handling. I am considering the Steeda F/R sway bars.

What are your impressions of these. Any significant depreciation of the ride quality or NVH with these components?

Steeda Mustang - Adj Front Sway Bar 1-3/8 555-1050
Steeda Mustang - Rear Sway Bar w/links 555-1052

Any impressions or inputs welcome?

^i'd say try the rear sway bar first and see how you like the feel. usually upgrading fronts are not needed on most cars for that neutral feel.
