FRPP Suspension parts
My 08 Gt will be here in about 4 weeks and I'm still planning mods. My dealer has agreed to order FRPP parts for me as part of the deal, giving me a price break and letting me install them myself. I'm assembling a list of what I might want that's FRPP. I don't want their handling pack because I plan on using Steeda competition springs with Tokico D-Specs. Sway bars are fairly far down on my list of suspension upgrades, but if I can get a good deal on them up front, I might go ahead and do that. I don't, however, want to compromise on any of the parts just to get a good deal. My original plan was to do Steeda sway bars front and rear (especially given that the Steeda front is adjustable), AFTER the sprigs/shocks/struts/PHB. Are the FRPP sway bars as good, though?
Similarly, I plan on using the GT500 LCA's from FRPP for $100 (or less with a good deal). Any reason NOT to just go ahead and get those on, even if the springs and struts/shocks won't come for another couple of months? For that matter, is there any harm in doing the sway bars even if the springs etc don;t come until later? I know this order of things is not ideal, but there is a certain value in getting a good deal and having the price of the parts rolled into the car (I'm getting the vehicle at invoice already). Thanks!

I dont know how good the FRPP sway bar is but the BMR one is great for 199 and you really should get adj. LCAs since you are lowering the car......so basically i wouldnt get anything except for the springs maybe. You can get the FRPP 1.5" springs for about 170 though.....sorry but i think there is better than FRPP suspension
When I lower the car I was going to go with the adjustable UCA (specifically, the Steeda UCA with the comp mount). I was also under the impression that the change in pinion angle from dropping the car 1 and 1/4 inches was not enough to necessitate adjustable lca's or an adjustable UCA unless you were going with a one-piece DS. I do plan on going with the adjustable UCA, but it will likely follow the lowering by a month or two. Will that create problems?
On the springs, I don't really want the K springs. My heart is set on the Steeda competition springs.

The FRPP springs and bars are standard Eibach production parts and are T.U.V. approved.Eibach springs and anti-roll bars are about as good as it gets and meet thehighest qualitystandards and certified by the German government.lqdslvr has a plan and an intendeduse that may be different than what you are expecting.
Cheers!
Yeah, but Custer had a plan, too! At this point, I intend to do stuff in phases and categories. First phase was to be doing springs (Steeda Comp), shocks/struts (D-Spec), Steeda HD Upper Strut Mount, and Steeda Adj PHB and brace, all at once. Second phase was to be GT500 LCA's with the Steeda Competition Adjustable UCA. Third phase was to do the Steeda sway bars with adjustable front and the HD rear endlinks. My orientation is for road race (not that I'm actually going to race, but I want it to corner very well). I am willing to compromise ride quality for a car that will corner like it's on rails. My current car is a 2006 BMW 325i with the sport suspension. I know I'll never get the great balance of handling and ride like I have with my BMW, so I'd rather have a worse ride and better handling.
The immediate questions on the FRPP parts were 1) are the swaybars as good a the Steeda (sounds like yes), and 2) am I hurting anything modifying the order of suspension mods? From whatyou guys say, it seems like I'm okay, but just wanted to make sure. As always, thanks for the input!

You might as well plan on adventually going all the way with your suspension. Once you get going it's hard to stop. My last daily driver was a BMW 528 (E39) with HR's, Koni's and 19's. The car handled great and the ride was excellent. As you can see from my signature I have probably gone further than most withthe suspension set up on my Mustang (mostly Steeda parts unless otherwise noted).I can now say that my Mustang has the advantage in the corners over most stock cars (except for cars like Corvettes, Vipers andPorches). The ride is another story, certainly not as good as the old Bimmer.
