The UCA is thedominant control arminthe S197's 3-link suspension if wheel hop is the issue. If you want tocontrol wheel hopthis is the one to buy first. Most folks are too lazy to install a UCA and UCA mount themselves(truthfullythis UCA and mountis a much more difficult part to install than the LCA's), or don't want to spend the money to have an adjustable UCA installed and adjusted properly. But if you really want toset your IC up, reduce brake hop, set pinion angle, eliminate wheel hop and still have very good NHV controlthis is the one partto buy and install. Adjustable LCA's certainly do help reduce wheel hop but if you havegood power with sticky tires and track surface they are not as effective nor doLCA's achive the other things that the Steeda Comp UCA and UCA mount can do.
Iinstalled theold original Steeda adjustable UCAacouple ofyears ago in my '05GT and it worked very well. Of course I also hadadjustable LCA's adjustable Panhard bar and HDPanhard bar brace andBMR weld-inLCA relocation brackets out back. When Steeda anounced the redesigned UCA and UCA mount I bought the parts to upgrade my existing Steedaadjustable UCA to theComp version with the new UCA mount and3-piece dual durometer bushing. This newly redesigned UCA and UCA mount are the bomb compared to the original adjustable UCA. The Steeda folks have redesigned the UCA so it is longer and the UCA mount is not only twice as thick but now offers a secon adjustment point to inprove IC on lowered cars. IMO this is the first rear control arm and for most will be the only rear control arm needed to gain lineal control over the rear axle. You still need an adjustable Panhard bar and the supporting brace to get the best out of the rear axle in terms of control but the LCA's are now much less necessary.
HTH!
it depends on what your use if for. aftermarket LCA's still are much stiffer and flex less than the stock LCA's. also if you lower you may need the adjustable panhard to recenter your rearend- if you don't likerear 1/4 inch to one side. I would recomend an aftermarket rear sway. this has made the most significant change in feel for me so far.(I have LCA'S,UCA, panhard w/ brace, and swaybar)
forJUST street use you don'tNEED much at all.
