The actual handling benifits of a STB are debatable, but it wouldn't be significantlyinfluenced by a two bolt or four bolt set up.

The difference between the two types of STB is that any lateral load transfered through the flexing of the STB would be applied to only two bolt studs instead of dividing them throughall four. Two bolts would be stressed more than four.

I am inclined to believethat thetwo bolts can absorb any load transfered from the STB, and should be fine. Thought,a four bolt set up would have a larger factor of safety for more peace of mind.

I've had no problems with my 2 bolt Strange Development STB. Trust me, I've stressed the car plenty on the road courses.

Steeda's adjustable, billet STB that has 4 bolts. The consensus is that an STB won't do you much good. However, I have the Steeda adjustable billet STB. I deformed a strut tower onmy old97 BMW (e39)528(at about100 mph) when the car was 3 year oldand I know that car was stiffer than my Mustang. So I don't care what anyone else says, under extreme conditions strut towers to move and you can deform a strut tower on any car. That being said, for normal street useyou would probably be better off with a K-Member brace (CHE calls it a K-Member brace, BMR calls it a A-Armsupport and Steeda calls it a G-Trac brace). I also have the CHE K-Member brace with torque limiters. I originally put on the Steeda G-Trac brace, but when I started missing shifts because the shift linkage was deforming under heavy loads, I switched to the CHE K-Member with torque limiters instead of going with solid motor mounts. The CHE K-Member was easier to install than solid motor mounts and easier to live with.
