toyo or generals?
So I am putting some weld 20 inch forgestars on my car with a 2453520 and 2553520 setup. I have narrowed the tires down to either a toyo proxy 4 or a general exclaim UHP.We sell Toyos at my shop and from my customer's feedback this is a great tire. I also have one of my employees that ran them on the rear of his SRT8 Charger and loved them versus the stock eagle f1 supercar. Does anyone have any experience with the generals. From all the reviews on tirerack they seem like very good tires. The generals will cost me about $50 more for the set, but they also have a treadwear rating of 380 versus 300 on the Toyos. I know this isn't a uniform rating and you can't compare brand vs. brand, but I did read the average wear for the generals in a rear staggerd fit is between 25-35k, which is really good for a UHP rear tire that never gets rotated. Anyone have any feedback on either of these tires? By the way I have 100 percent decided on this tire size setup and these two brands based on my budget and pricing, so any opinions or votes on other setups or brands, although appreciated, would not be helpful in making my decision.
Nittos are a private label Toyo. I"d rather go with the real deal. Also we don't stock or sell them. In no way I'm I saying they are a bad tire, everybody that has them on this forum seems to love them, its just I get a better buy on Toyo's based on my company selling them and keeping them in stock.
20's are prett big! Do they fit in the wheel wells okay? I have seen some 20's on some heavily modded bodies and they look awesome!
I have seen a lot of Nitto's and Toyo's on Stangs but don't recall seeing anyone with Generals. I will ask around and see if any of my fellow club members can chime in on your choices for you.

My mother has Generals on her Honda Odyssey, ha ha.
Actually, the general excaim tire has been getting great reviews on tirerack.com but make sure you look at the recorded miles on each tire. If it is less than a million miles the results/ratings could be skewed from the true average rating.

There's over 5,000,000 miles worth of basis on the General UHP's, which is a good thing. It also means that you're looking at more than just the early reviews which I think tend to be more optomistic than the reviews that come in after people have run up a few thousand miles. Early = overly optomistic in some cases (one example that I know of is neither available through TireRack nor on your list).
Let me suggest that you look at all the reviews and then filter them based on 'Ford' and look only at the Mustang reviews. Reviews from the guys with low-powered FWD cars and IRS are not going to do you any good, so you might as well try to filter out as many of those as you can.
Then - as unsettling as this may sound to some here- do the same filtering trick except look at the Chevvies and Pontiacs, specifically for the Camaro/Firebird responses.
Evaluate how you yourself drive, and pay more attention to those reviews where the driving style most closely matches your own.
I did take a really quick look through the reviews, and found that some folks feel that the cornering response on the Generals is a little "soft". That may or may not matter to you (to an autocrosser or hard-core corner-carver, it would), and your results may well be different based on the width of your wheels vs the wheel widths and tire sizes for the guys who posted the reviews.
