i have stock 17x8 rims and i was looking at the 275/40/17 and the 205/40/17 will the 205 fit on the rim better? i need to drive 2 hours one way to the track and i want to put them on before i leave for the track.

 

definitely not the 205. And a 2 hour ride I would suggest swapping the DR's at the track.
