Default Tire Question

Would a 315/35/17, 275/40/17, or a 295/45/17 profile be better for a stock 17x8OEM rim?I am looking at Mickey Thompson drag radials for the track. I just want to know what would be too much tire or too little tire. Thanks.

Thats what I thought as well. I wasnt sure if that was going to 1.) run real bad or 2.) be too thin and no side wall at all

Thanks for the advice.

Perfect well then I will stick with that size. Now here is another question. Do you know of any other vendor that sells Mickey Thompsons for a cheaper price than lethalperformance.com?

howarmat, what tires do you have in your sig picture there? I've seen those before but never looked at the brand/model/size, etc...

I just removed my stock 18" x 8.5"fanblades and BFG KDWS 235/50/18 tires. 13,000 miles and the wheels are clean. PM me if you're interested. You can view them here:

Today I put 275/40 MT ET Streets on my rear stock 17x8's. It was tight, but they fit sure enough.
