Default 2 Questions Re: 20inch Wheel width and panhard bar?

2 Questions:

1. I am looking at the Avarus AV2 rims and I have heard differing opinions on whether 20x10 inch rims will fit on the back of an 2007 GT. TireRack has told me no but I saw them on an 07 at a performance shop locally.

2. Is a panhard bar required when lowering the car. A local performance shop (Davenport performance) has said "yes" but the FRPP handling pack doesn't use one so what is the deal?

Any help would be much appreciated.

20x10 is standard size for the back rim wise.......the tires make the difference though, rims dont

you may want to check avarus rims, do they come in 10" width? at tirerack i think they only have 8.5". and the 10's are a different offset so that they fit. my razors only came in 9" width.

I don't understand why someone at the Tire Rack would tell you that 10" don't fit...If you put a 2007 Mustang GT in the search criteria, all sorts of 10" wide wheels show up, including the exact set that I have...weird. 10" widths fit good though, give the back wheels a real nice wide look. Definitely looks tough.

Adjustable Panhard is good to have and working on it the same time with ur suspension. It was pretty simple adjusting it and you can eyeball it.

Like someone said before Look at the rim offset and the tirecombo together. I do not see how there could be that much of a difference then mine and my rims are not close to hitting.
I have 19 x295 x 35 on back with 9.5 rim and a 38 mm offset.

i just think those avarus rims only come in 8.5" and thats what tire rack meant, bc they do have other rims that are 10" after all tirerack is one of the biggest mail order rim/tire place. i think it's just miscommunication.

It could have been that a 10" in that style wouldn't fit, probably due to backspacing issues..

But yes, I have 20x10's on the rear of my car, 285/30/20's.. I plan to step it up to 305/35/20's after I burn these off.
