you may want to look into a higher stall converter to get the most out of some drs or slicks.

If you're only using them for the track, get some M/T ET Street bias plys. 26x11.5x17 fits nicely on a spare pair of 17" rims.

I have the et street bias ply and they make the back of the car feel pretty light, almost like its floating. If I were you I would get the radial version.

I used MT ET Street Radials for one night at the drags. They hooked great, even for my lack of driving skills. Haha, got a 1.84 60' without heating them up much.

I am actually selling mine... 275/40/17 on black cobra rims... PM me if interested

if your going to drive them to the track get the 275/40/17 Radial ETs

if your gonna swap - the bias ply - the do hook better - but will be a bit wiggley on the top end @ 100+

+1

I debated for a long time on which to get M/T ET Streets or ET Street Radials

I don't think there is a huge difference between the two except for the radial part, mine are so soft they really feel like a slick, if I go to the closer track I drive with them on if I go to the further track (60 miles) I swap at the track, even though both these are DOT approved with all
the crap on the streets I try to minimize my time street driving on them, I also felt the radial would wear better than the bias ply, I paid $179 a piece for 275/40/17 , they are awesome !!!
You can really feel them hug the road/track, alot more confidence going down the track, street tires on a track IMHO are dangerous, easy to get out of the groove and if you are getting serious aboutracing (UCA/LCAs, high stall, FI) street tires are a joke !!

Use stock wheels I got for $20 lol

Good luck

Oh and i found a set of 17x8's oem bullitt wheels on ebay for 250, sound good? i was thinking i might as well run all 4 tires on the 17's or does it really make that much of a difference if i left the stock 18in bullitts up front while i ran the 17's with the dr's in the rear?
