Default Watkins Glen

Our Mustang club ran some paced laps on the same track used by Nascarat Watkins Glen. Thought I would through out a picture for your enjoyment

Sweet! One of these days I'd like to do an HPDE event at the Glen. I found a couple this summer but the timing is not working out.

What sort of "pace"?

And did they run just the NASCAR configuration or did they take you through "the boot"?

I hope they didn't run the NASCARconfiguration and cut out the "the boot". My brother ran his E30 with BMWCCA a few weekends ago and he raves about that section of the course.

When I was on the track I really had a hard time figuring out where I actually was. So not sure if I did the boot or not.

The pace was supposed to not exceed 55 but I got up to 100 . They held us back pretty good in the corners. Honestly the speed we were going was fast enough for me without a roll bar and a helmet. LOL

Still can't figure out how the real drivers deal with those rumble strips in the corners. There pretty rough.

My car felt real solid all around and I was pleased with my set up
