Default 255-55-18

was just brousing at tires at a local tire store while l was waiting for a flat fix on my work truck and saw a Sumitomo HTR Sport HP 255-55-18, anybody have any experience/comments on this size tire (fit-clearance) or this brand. I kinda figured it would fill up the wheel well fairly nicely or maybe not opinions please

That is a pretty high-profile tire, but think it will fit fine in an S197. You need to compare the overall diameter of this tire with your current ones. 275/35/20's (f) and 275/40/20's (r) are standard on '06 Saleens, so compare with that tire to see how clearance would be.

go to tire rack .com and you can read reports about them. seems it is for lt trucks street/sport tires and also bad tire on wet roads. not great reviews

To keep performance about equal to what you have now, you would need to install 3.90 gears in the axle.
