A friend has roush wheels with 275 tires and they are really heavy. A good 10 pounds per wheel more than mine.

Default low trap times 18" shelby razor rims

That makes sense, an extra ten pounds of weight on each rim and tire could make a difference. I am going to throw the original rims and tires on next time I go to the track and see what kind of difference it makes, I will get back to you guys when I find out.

Yeah I guess the question is are you making up the traction w/ the wider tires in the rear to get a better launch?

I went to get these installed today at my local Ford Dealer who deals in Saleen and Roush and overall they seem like a good group of guys. He said he looked at the '07 and saw it shows the same part I ordered for the steering stop already installed, so I left that off and hopefully the dealer will take them back unopened.

Saved me 120$ in labor...

Link to the wheels; has anyone upgraded to these? Do I need the Steering Stop with these, 6R3Z-3932-CA. 275/40/18 all around I believe...

Where do the steering stops go?

Are these designed to prevent the slight rubbing I get on full lock with my 18 x 9.5 " wheels on a lowered car?

Yeah that is what they are for, if I recall what the mechanic said; they go in with the rack and pinion. I didn't experience any slight rubbing w/ the 18x10's at full lock but did hear a little going in reverse? Makes no sense to me other than maybe a weight shift... solution will be I won't back up at full lock
