Default traction problems?!?

All my mods are in my sig but i dont really understand why im having such terrible traction problems. Even on very good surfaces and weather i cant seem to get any traction in first or second gear from a dig or a roll. my tires are 285/35/18 eagle F1 gs-d3 with good tread... any ideas? (Like it says in my sig i have sportlines, adjustable panhard bar and bmr lcas

I also have Eagles and they do not seem to get very good traction at all from a dig. Thats why I swiched the rear tires to Mickey Thompson's it made all the difference.

Ever since I switched to Eagle F1 A/S's I haven't spun them like I did the stock BFG's. Don't know, bud.

4.10 gears with a 26" tire cant help. I would get GY eagle f1 supercar 285/40zr18 or bfg g-force kd tires in that size. The 285/40 tire size is going to give you an inch more in diameter and a half inch in sidewall. The tread on those tires are super soft and sticky. The only tires softer are drag radials. If you really want to cure your taction problems you could get 305/35r18 MT drag radials. Nitto makes one in that size also. Make sure your LCA's are positioned properly on the relocation brackets. Adj upper control arms would also help since you are lowered.

How do you have your LCA's set up? I currently have mine set level with the ground and have been thinking about readjusting them so they are angled down slightly towards the rear axle. My traction is pretty poor BTW.

My car is brand new stock for now, but I used to have a mid 12 second Z28 that I had LCA's and adj control arm relocation brackets on. Its been a long time since I had to mess with them, but I think you want them angled slightly. I also think they are more to control wheel hop, but do help to plant the rear end into the ground on launch. For the life of me I cant remember which side should be slightly pointing down. If it is more traction issues than wheel hop, nothing is going to help more than a good set of wide sticky tires. And by the way, I would expect some traction issues with a twin screw sc. I hope I have those kind of problems soon.

It should pointing from the axle up. That why the relocate drops the back of the LCA to create better geometry for tire planting.

OP,

I think you may need a driver mod to learn throttle control at lower speeds and/or DRs.

Here is a link that explains LCAs and LCA relocation brackets and how they should be set http://www.cherod.com/mustang/HowTo/LCA%20_adj.htm
