Which strut bar do you have? I think they make three different ones. They won't fit if you have a GT with the ford engine cover

You have a picture or link to the one you ordered??

I thought the FRPP one was almost identical to the Steeda one and my Steeda one went on in about 2 minutes.....

Thats what they said about my steeda one but I contacted steeda directly and they told me it would be fine with the plenum cover, they did say that in rare cases you had to remove the spacers from the rear screws of the plenum cover but 9 out of 10 times it went on just fine, mine was one of the nice.....

not necessarily. I bought a Granatelli STB and it wouldn't fit over the plenium cover, despite Granelli's claims that it would. I think there may be some varience in engine height w/ how they are sitting on the mounts, which could be why the OP is having some problems.

Worst case scenario, if lowering below the mounting position doesn't work, you can use some washers over the screws to shim the STB up

the FRPP V6 brace part# M-20201-F clears the OEM cover and installs in about 5 minutes, it's the same brace used on the Bullitt part# 8R3Z-16A200-A

If you don't have the engine cover it should drop right over the strut bolts. Maybe the STB you have got bent somehow. I have the one for the GT(parallel beam part#M-20201-S197) and it took like 3 minutes to install. Where is the problem with yours? Are the holes not lining up or is there contact with the engine somewhere?

Thats the same for my Steeda one, the guy I bought from told me it was the V6 version and he ran it on his GT without the Plenum cover, i contacted Steeda and they told me it would be fine and it was:

So the only thing I can think is that the brace is damaged... there really shouldn't be anything complex with its fitting.....
