Default Adjustable PHB needed??

So, I picked up a J&M Rod ends Adj. PHB, but didn't like the noise, so I took it off. Looking at the car now, with the stock PHB, it looks like it's only off by like 1/16 or maybe an 1/8 of an inch, do you guys think that's even worth investing in an Adj. PHB or should I be fine with the stocker?

The adjustable PHB will really only be an advantage to re-center your axle. Above this, you may find a lighter/stronger one, but won't help otherwise. If you are not so crooked you can "see" it (the 1/8"~1/4" will change anyway depending on the angle of road in which you are parked) or have tire rubbing issues that may be helped by centering..... leave the stock one.

I suspect that he's off by more than 1/8 though...
ALL S197 I measured were off by 3/8 or 5/16. It's more than a 1/4 for sure.
The axle is always shifted to the driver side.
Ford made the OEM bar a 1/4 or so, too long.

It's much more noticeable when you go wider tires at back too...

Yup i have to agree with pascal on this. It is more like 1/4 of an inch. It also depend how low you go in the back, the lower the worse it gets. Since my tires come out past the fender a bit it was very noticeable to me. I ordered an adj. p.h.b. and centered my rear nicely.

Well I'm lowered 2" with 285's in the rear and it really doesn't seem very off to me.

True, I thought mine was pretty close after lowering with the Vogtland "leveling" springs but just went out and measured. 5/16" towards the driver's side.

Whatever YOU call acceptable is OK with us

If you don't rub, and looks OK to you.... leave it alone.
