Default Additional power steering cooling needed?

Since I'm trying to keep in car in TTC I'm limited to what mods I can do now, so I'm looking at things to help prevent failures.

Griggs Racing has an S197 Power Steering Cooler.

It is probably a good idea, but at $259.95 I need to know that it is necessary.

Do our cars have a problem with failures? What would the failure be and how expensive a fix is it?

I don't have an answer, but they say that it has a $100 core charge, so you get $100 back when you send your old cooler in. It should be $159.95 when it's all said and done.

PFFFFT. Maybe in long sessions testing their stuff at Infineon. I've yet to have issues in 105* summer heat in the typical 20 minute sessions we all run.

IF someone needed one, there are plenty of less expensive options out there. This is just another example of Griggs' ridiculous pricing. Aparently they think everything they put their name on is gold, like their $1600 harness bar. Granatelli is the ***** and they are the pimps.
