Default Steering rack

Are aftermarket steering racks available for the S917? I've upgraded, swapped, bled tears and then swapped again everything under my car. I finally have the perfect combination (IMO) of street comfort and firmness/control. Now that I feel everything else is working like (I feel) it "should" the steering and brakes are the major weak points, especially the steering. Is there a closer ratio rack available or something similar?

I'm swapping my steering wheel with a smaller model soon and I'm sure that will help somewhat but do they make a higher performance steering rack?

If you have $1500 laying around you can get the FR500 steering rack.

Hell, it may even be worth it. Once I toss this stock hoola hoop steering wheel that will be my next goal.

I plan to purchase some new brake pads/braided lines over the next few weeks. That's probably all I need for street use.

When you upgrade the suspension on these cars, everything else just screams for an upgrade (wheels/tires/brakes/steering).

Funny thing is I was looking for the same thing today lol there are all the part numbers you will need on http://www.mustangchallenge.com/inde...s_information/
For all the FR500 parts and other goodies.

Good luck, let us know if you go with the FR500 rack.

I say go for an SLA if you have money from what Rodeo has told me the Agent 47 kit gives you better comfort and performance which is a rare combo.

I know this has nothing to do with actual steering, but IMO FR500 rack would be to sensitive for street. Your prlly gonna get quarter turn till lock.

What is the ratio for the FR500 rack? The last time I went through the Ford Racing catalog the 'racing' rack they had for the '05+ Mustang was the same ratio as stock, 15.6:1.

Thats what I thought as well.
Same ratio as the stock rack.
Wonder what makes the FR500 rack so special besides the price....
