Not that it "looks" bad just not ideal for the car, if you're not running 10.5'' or wider wheels not neccessary. If you like the look of narrow rims with max offset.... I see it all the time here in central texas.

Jackpot!! Looking at those now. 18.6# ea, 45 offset and ~$300 on sale... what's this "brilliant coating" for an extra 80? If it's some kind of darker (doesn't sound like it but who knows) these may be my wheels.

You may also check out the 5Zigen FN01-RC. You can find them for under $300 a piece, they come in 18x9.5 with either a +35mm or +45mm offset, and IIRC weigh right in at 19 or 20 pounds. I remember looking at them on EdgeRacing.com, but apparently they went under and I don't feel like looking it up elsewhere. Just something else to consider.

I would love to know the weight of these too. I think these will look a lot nicer on the Mustang than the other lightweight wheels with extremely narrow spokes (thinking RPF1 and MT1 here).

Yeah Brad (Argonaut) had them on his car. Wheels Next has them; I was looking at a set of these for my track tires and use my OZ's for my autocross tires.

You know.... I just might know someone who can help here..

I have the Steeda wheels, fwiw. But I also have a number of other, much lighter, options in 18x9.5". I also can get (though I havne't in a while RPF-1's as well).

Thanks Sam, I wasn't aware you had access to varied wheel options. I looked at the 5Zigens at work today and not sure I like the looks as well as a $300 per price tag. The RPF1's are a bit "rally" looking for the mustang as well. The steeda ultralite I's weigh-in at 23lb/ea according to steeda reps (current steeda ultralite II's are 27 ea fwih, bit lighter than pentars):

"Our lightest 18" wheel would be the silver Ultra-Lite 1, part# 004-9289512s-45. It comes in at about 23lbs. The Pentars, including the black ones, weigh in at about 28lbs. If weight is your main factor for your purchase, then the Ultra-Lites would be the best way to go for you"

That's a damn good looking, fairly lightweight wheel for $220 shipped. I know fairly lightweight is relative but I'm rashing several wheels a year now and until I cease that bad habit I'll look for something on the cheap.

I was in Discount Tire getting my new rear tires installed a few weeks ago and this guy walked in talking loud enough for the entire store to hear. He told the clerk his "girlfriend" rashed one of his huge chrome 24'' wheels and went on to say how he explained to her over and over how to drive around curbs with them. I had to laugh...and think how stupid it was to spend that much. He probably rashed them himself but had to let EVERYONE in the store know his girlfriend was responsible for it .
