Strange Noise Noticeable In-Car While Driving 35+ MPH
Honestly, at first, I thought I had a cricket in my car because the sound is very similiar.
The sound is more like a creaking sound. I mainly notice it while driving in a straight-line.
It's not a very loud sound or a fast rotational sound like the sound my driveshaft makes right around 80 MPH.
It sounds as though it is coming from underneath the rear passenger side or center of my car.
I really don't think it's my driveshaft, but I'm not sure if it's coming from my Upper Control Arm, Lower Control Arm, or hopefully not the axle, etc.
It may not even be suspension related!
Any thoughts or ideas?
Thanks!

Noises can be hard to find, but I am like you, I cannot stand any thing like that. I would check all the rubber bushings back on the rear suspension. You could spray them with some silicone spray lubricant. It will take time to find whatever it is. My first thought was "U" joints, but that would be speed related and load related. Good luck!

I've noticed as I increase speed, it sounds as if the wind is making this sound increase quicker.
I don't have anything dangling from underneath my car. I thought it was my window louvers but they are still there, haha. Maybe my 'passenger side' side skirt is loose.

I don't notice this strange sound as much or at all when it rains. It's just hard to tell when it's raining, because the sound of the rain could just be covering up the sound.
Anyway, I'm thinking it could be the new Goodridge SS Brake Lines I had installed.
The brake lines COULD be hitting against the LCA etc.

Is the noise inside the car?
I had an intermittent chirp sound coming from the center or passenger side. Traced it to the driver seat belt anchor position beside the console. Seems something rubbing the seat or console. Put some paper wipes between the console, the belt and the driver's seat. Fixed.
Seems to me someone else reported a similar problem from the same spot a while back.
Hope you find it.
Cheers.

Thanks for that info on the interior sound near the console. I hear this sound when I'm driving 30+ MPH inside my car. I don't know if it's coming from inside my car or underneath my car. I have noticed as I accelerate the sound gets faster as if wind is increasing the sound. The sound continues if I accelerate or decelarate. It doesn't stop if I slow down. The chirping sound just slows down.
Would WD-40 be recommended to spray on the control arms/bushings?
Or not a good idea?

I had a intermittent chirp as well which was induced whenever I hit an uneven/rough patch of road. Thought it was in the rear suspension. Dealer tech took a ride in the back seat and traced it to the seat belt retraction mechanism. The interior guy had it fixed within an hour.
