how is the ride with the Ford K springs?
So i am trying to choose what lowering kit I want. I was going to get the Steeda kit as its only a 1" lowering and probably would be close to stock ride quality. But I was thinking the Ford K springs since they are 1.5" I can get a lower profile tire instead of these 50 series it comes with. I just am wondering if they will ride really rough I dont have the money to get the complete Ford shock setup with them..so its only going to be springs at this time..I just dont know what kit to buy
If you can't do shocks (and fwiw, the FR3 shocks aren't that hot anyway), then the Steeda Sports (well, one version of them--the only one I'll sell) are the way, way better choice.
The lesser drop will leave the shocks with more travel to damp the springs. And the rate on the Steeda Sports is not as high as the Ford Racing (nee Eibach) springs. Higher spring rate wants more damping control on the rebound side. If you can't get that, than you need to keep the rates and heights more reasonable to give the stock shocks the best chance to do decent damping.
FWIW, I think Steeda Sports look great. You can see a pic of a customer's car on the version of the Sports I sell and recommend: http://www.stranoparts.com/viewfeature.php?FeatureID=1

Be aware that going to a lower profile tire will alter the ride quality themselves but depending on how YOU define ride quality, it may or may not be an issue. Personally, I and many others prefer the look of more sidewall as opposed to the rubber band tire appearance of 35 and lower series tires.
In addition to what Nuke mentioned about the tires, as it sounds like you're keeping the wheels and just going to a lower profile tire, keep in mind that you'll be changing the overall tire height. That will require an adjustment with a handheld tuner so your speedometer is correct.
If you are changing wheels and tires then ignore what I said about adjusting parameters with a tuner, as you're likely using a lower profile tire but keeping the same overall tire height.

my truck i just got rid of had 20's with 255/35's and they were not that bad..also going from like a 50series to a 45 isnt going to do much to the speedo maybe what 1mph..so not a concern either. I found another option..I see saleen has a set of springs that lowers it 1.25 at all 4 corners..seems like a in between set from the steeda and Ford K's
