Default Need Help In Improving Ride Quality

Hi all, I need some advice on how to soften up the ride on my 2007 V6 Mustang. (completely stock) I use this car as a daily driver and I am not an agressive driver. When going over bumpy roads the rear end of the car sounds like the rear axle is going to fall out of the car at times. Is there away to make this car ride more like a ford Taurus than the stiff noisy ride it currently has without sacrificing the corner handling the car has? Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Koni SA (Sport Adjustable) shocks. They aint cheap, but will help big time. Even with these shock set to the "full soft" setting, they still provide more control than the stock shocks/struts, but with a ride that is much less harsh and more live-able.
I got the Koni's and using the stock springs, and I have shocks set about 1/2 turn from softest and not only is the ride much better but the handling is more controlled , feel more confident in turns, etc. I love it, feels almost bimmer-like as far as the ride now...

After all, it is a solid axle. They don't tend to ride like Cadillacs.

One of the biggest improvement in ride quality I have done was install the Fays2 Watts Link. HUGE difference in the way the rear suspension works/feels.

I'd definitely recommend a good set of shocks. In this case, on a stock V-6.... I'd recommend Koni STR.T's (of which I actually have a few sets in stock).

My girlfriend had a V-6... the shocks suck. My GT rode better to start with, then the Koni's went on and she was always mad that my "stiffer" shocks made the car even better. We would never take her car anywhere if I could take mine. We put my take-off GT shocks on hers, which helped a little, but not much.

The shocks are the key.

My wife's CTS rides harder than my stock new 2011 5.0 GT. LOL.
They are not an old man's car anymore.

The OP may want to try dropping tire pressures a few pounds. See if that is a little more comfortable. Check pressures anyway as many dealers seem to over-fill tires when taken in for service. (?).

Cheers.

I have the same issue with my 2007 convertable. Rides lake a dump truck. I was told going to 15 inch wheels and cushy tires would solve 90 % of the problem. Any one try this?

convertable stangs are hideous to drive..
all for show..big wheels are a no no for one..
small wheels like 15's sound a good idea..
how ford got away selling the vert stang with handling like that amazes me..
i wont ever own another for sure
