Default GT shocks and struts an upgrade?

Hey I was looking to (finally) upgrade the suspension on my 6er and am looking at all the products on newtakeoff. I see there is a package that comes with both sways as well as all the shocks and struts off a GT.

I really want the swaybars, I know how much of a difference they can make. But are GT shocks and struts on my car worth the extra cash as an upgrade over my stock parts.

Here's the link to the product: http://www.newtakeoff.com/mustang_gt...2005-2008.aspx

Thanks guys

No reason to purchase that when you get get the GT500 stuff for $175. It's an unbeatable deal:

I keep looking at this too, only for the ragtop. Has anyone here put this kit on? How much difference does it make over the v-6 set-up? The GT500 suiff also lowers the car, will the alignment need to be adjusted?

oh cool, thanks for the link, allinon. But twstones is right, what kind of extra work needs to be done if I install the GT500 parts. Also I just saw that it doesn't come with a rear sway bar and instead comes with a strut tower brace, which I don't think will fit my V6

I am also curious as to if this upgrade is worth it on a base v6 automatic 2007 ford mustang. Any ideas?

I don't think the shocks/struts are changed very much (in terms of compression/rebound) for the GT than the v6, but I do know that the springs for GT's are harder (to compensate for more weight) therefore I would imagine the shocks/struts are slightly changed to handle the different spring type...

I doubt its gonna be a huge difference, other than stiffer handling and harsher ride quality IMO. Might just want to go aftermarket for those, or get those GT500 parts .

As far as I know, the sway bars (gt500 or GT) will fit the v6 no problem, but to add the GT500 shocks/struts you need new upper strut mounts for them...

Your car will sit a bit higher since the gt is heavier, you prob dont want to look like a 4x4.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the only thing that will make your car sit higher/lower would be springs, he's looking at shocks/struts.
