05-10 shocks the same as 2011

im thinking of getting this kit but wanna make sure the kit will work on my 2011 gt i heard that the shocks are different on 2011 compared to the earlier gts

They'll fit, but you need either to do a little shimming on the front struts to work with 2011 mounts, or revert to older stock, or better yet, aftermarket mounts for them to actually work and not clunk.
FWIW, you can do WAY better for less money on the dampers. Like these Koni STR.T's: http://www.stranoparts.com/partdetai...D=64&ModelID=5 which are much better all the way around (and have a real, honorable, lifetime warranty).

As I stated in the PM we exchanged, there are some options. But plug and play on a brand new car is rarely the case. The upper mounts are different on this car. If you use your stock struts, then you are plug and play, but with inferior dampers.
If you upgrade the dampers, none as of yet are 2011 specific to work with the 2011 top mount. You could buy 2010 OEM mounts and then be plug and play.
