BBS Boss 302R rims with Toyo Proxes R888 tires

Awesome. Take some hi-res pics when you get them on-car please. For lugs I would go with something like this, unless rehagen pointed you to a preferred style (or seat type).

Black wheels are a great choice dont have issues with brake dust. Had my Steeda Ultralites powder coated flat black shoot them with a rattle can if they get scratched. I have been running R888s as well I buy scrubs can find them fairly cheap and get a few track days out of them. Better than dropping $300 for new ones. Making sure the brakes fit is a good idea as well.. My Baer's just fit and think the ultralites were probably one of the only 18" rims that would clear my calipers. Really dont need to upgrade them though since the stock brakes will work with a good track pad, fluid and lines. But if you got the money to spend.. get big brakes I am extremely happy with my Baer's... confident stopping is where it is at.

So the rims just arrived now I need the tires. Those NT01s have a great price point but the RA1s would be a great tire and would work in the rain. The R888 tires are great but I and really thinking about saving some money and putting it into some ss brake lines and better brake pads. Would you do 275s all the way around or 275 up front and 285 or 295s for the rear on these 10 inch rims?

Do you have any picts of these wheels on your car? I have a black 2011 Shelby GT500 and would like to get an idea for what they would look like. Also, what size tire did you decide on? I have 255 front and 285 rear stock. Will those work?

C'mon ya dirty bastard, share!! I'm dying to see those wheels on your car. If I had the cash I'd get them too.
As for the CCW wheels, John is a super stud (and nice guy) who makes some seriously awesome wheels (I've got some of his Classics for another car), but I don't see that much benefit in weight or appearance. Given that the BBS are also already track proven in toughness, I'm also not convinced you're getting a substantially inferior wheel to what CCW would provide. I think at that price point it's a personal call. Tough call too.

I dont know what the offset is but you may need spacers. I am running gt500 wheels 255 and 285s and i got a 1 millimeter rub on the tire lip on the front inside tires. and that is with the TEIN FLEX
So i would recommend trying to mount up the rim on the fronts and make sure the rim doesnt rub. and then see how much you have left for tire.
edit: i also hear you need open ended lugs

Does your car have the appropriate steering stops? If your car was originally equipped with 16" or 17" wheels, the SVT catalogs tell you to use steering stop part number 6R3Z-3932-CA with either the 18 x 8.5 or 18 x 9.5 wheels, so not having any steering stop or having the wrong one may be the reason.
Is the rub against the strut, the front sta-bar, or something else?
Are these the 18" x 9.5" x +45mm offset wheels?
I have a strong current interest in knowing these particular pieces of information. I don't mind working down to 1/16" clearance or even a little less, but I don't want to actually end up with a rub or any need for spacers.
