Here are some more tidbits of information I gained by working with my alignment tech.

When I was running OEM upper strut mounts and camber bolts:

The maximum adjustment of positive gain from the camber bolts (and adjusting the strut mounts as far towards the outside of the car as possible) resulted in a near zero degree negative camber.

Now that I'm running Steeda HD camber mounts (adjusted to max positive gain - towards outside of car):

The maximum positive gain resulted in negative camber of -0.5* on the right and -0.7* on the left.

I also want to add that he did have to re-adjust my toe in after this little of change in negative camber. The car didn't feel right after the swap until he fixed it. Hard to believe so little makes a difference.

Adjust your camber bolts to the maximum positive position (the top of the spindle is leaning away from the car) and you will have a near zero camber. This with a good setting on toe in will insure your tires do not wear like that any more.

Good info...a couple of questions:

Is toe adjustable with stock components?

What didn't feel right before the toe was adjusted?

Toe is the ONLY adjustable thing with stock components.

So I went to the shop this morning. They took the car and a bit later the tech came and got me. He said he'd be happy to realign my car after I replace the lower ball joints. Ugh. He showed me that they were sloppy. The cars closing in on 90k miles so I guess its time. Looks like I have another item for my checklist this weekend. In the past 3 weeks I've had the following kick me in the nuts: New battery for the GT, new battery for my wifes Aspen, crap alignment trash my tires, and now ball joints. Life - 4, Me - 0.

The car felt like the steering wasn't precise, and it wanted to wander. It really didn't want to remain straight on a perfectly flat, no crown highway.

Got the ball joints in this weekend, and my alignment completed this morning. Whew! Hopefully thats all the maintenance this car will require for a while. Those ball joints sucked the life out of me.
