Default Improving Front Roll Center for handling

I've had this question come up before on other forums so I figured I would post about it here.

Our X5 ball joints which are commonly used to improve the front roll center on lowered cars will not fit 2010-2011 Mustangs.

So for those of you who want the handling benefits of raising the front roll center back up could not do so with the ball joints, but you do have another option which is our front control arm relocation kit.

This kit is only 83.95. It is more labor to install than the ball joints, but you also get a better roll center correction than you get with the ball joints because it moves the control arms a farther distance. The ball joints have a relocation distance of 14mm, the control arm relocation kit is 19mm.

You can read more about it here:

Doesn't look like it would be too hard to install. Does the site also have instructions?

What happens when you have a 2005-2009 and use the X5 ball joints and the relocation kit?

All else held constant, a little more steady-state understeer and a greater need for bumpsteer correction.

I guess I should have phrased that better. Where is the “sweet spot”? I’m guessing “more is better” doesn’t apply.

For that you'd need testing. And you'd want to know how much lowering was also performed.

Wouldn't surprise me if different drivers (with different driving styles) ended up with different preferences.
