Default Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R 28x10x18

Okay, first let me say I'm not a hard core drag racer, I'm just a weekend warrior kind of guy to have some fun. I picked up two wheels just like mine (not chrome) to put some DR's on. I came accross a great deal on some brand new Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R 28x10x18 Tires shipped for $300. I was going to get the Mickey Thompson ET streets but, I was told by a drag racer I know that these would be almost as good and for what I wanted them for, it would be fine.

What do you guys think? Did I make a poor choice?
