Default FRPP Suspension Installed

I just had my FRPP shocks, struts and lowering springs installed yesterday and I gotta say, what a difference! The car feels like my old 3 series BMW. This is the way the car should have come from the factory. Not too stiff, but a reduction in nose dive, launch squat and much flatter cornering. Plus, it doesn't sit so low that every road anomaly becomes a challenge.

Just so you know, I also have J&M camber plates and an adjustable panhard bar.

Awesome. I too came from a BMW 3 series and I do miss the nimbleness of the car. Haven't been able to replicate that with my much heavier mustang, or the lightness of the steering on the BMW, but it's still fun for different reasons.

Nice to know about the suspension. Funny you compare to your 3 series. I had an Audi A4 before, not too much different, and it handled awesome. Had springs on it and some 18" wheels as well. That car was very nice in the handling department. Effortless cornering.

Does that mean you have the 1" springs?

Out of curiosity, what do you have your cambers set to?

I do have the 1" springs. I need to check the sheet, but I believe it is set to factory specs, but don't quote me on this. I'll find out tomorrow.

Allinon -
I came from a 3 series convertible, so nimbleness wasn't really a factor, and it surely ISN'T in a convertible Mustang. After the suspension change, the Mustang just feels as sure footed as the BMW did. It isn't as jumpy as it used to be. Maybe that's because the shocks/struts were starting to wear after 83,000 miles, I dunno. But, overall, the FRPP set up works really nice for a daily driver.

Nah, you got it right, the stock suspension really does suck that bad. It's quite an amazing difference in handling.
