I don't think so. While I have had it come on a few times, it's a pretty rare occurrence and when it happens I don't just stand on the throttle.

I've pretty much decided that I'm going to just get OEM replacement pads and rotors and be done with it. Time has become a problem now because my truck died so I have no car until I get my Mustang put back together.

It may be coming on while you're cornering if you're giving it much of any throttle on corner exit. Chances are that during those times you'll be interested enough in seeing what's out the windshield that you probaby wouldn't see what the little TC lamp might be doing.

FWIW, I've always been able to feel a little rear wheel slip/spin in my '08 even going pretty easy with the gas in around-town driving. I'm not talking hard launches here - that's not my thing. Think rolling into the gas in 2nd gear on a left turn coming off a stop at a traffic light intersection. Keep in mind that the only times I have TC 'on' is on the rare occasion when I forget to shut it off.

Sounds like a lot of power braking :O

I would go OE unless doing a full upgrade.

I ended up just replacing with OE rotors and pads from the stealership. Everything's back together and running again. Cost about $210.
