Default wierd noise...

OK.. so i have been noticing this unusual noise coming from the front end. i only hear this when i go over something like a pot hole, speed bump, or even a little bump. I'm not sure what it is anyone had this issue before?

Sounds like you have the dreaded front end clunk. I would get it with every little bump in the road, even the little plastic lane dividers would cause the sound. Mine was a "dunk dunk " tone. Really sounded like two metal parts hitting. I recently swapped out my front LCA's for the GT500 ones. Clunk is gone. Others swap out the strut mounts to GT500 ones and its gone. I tried that, it didnt work. Some folks even take off the front sway bar and the noise goes away. You can check your sway bar endlinks and make sure they are really tight. If they are loose you will get some noise. My noise was very loud and solid sounding. I posted pics in another thread of the new parts.

You can also get a good solid clonk if a front sta-bar chassis bracket nut or two isn't fully tight. Disconnecting one endlink also stops this noise, so you can't depend on this test to narrow the problem down to just the endlinks.

You'll mainly get this noise when the wheel on the opposite side from the loose nut(s) either hits a bump or when it's the outside wheel during a fairly enthusiastic cornering maneuver.

Check and tighten all four of tghem.

One guess how I know this . . .
