Default tire experience - traction

My rear tires (BFG g-force TA KDW - 275/35/20) are nearing the end of life and I'm wondering if the Hancook's or Sumitomo's in that price range (under $250 ea.) are any stickier... these arent hooking so well with my 4:10s.

I'm partial to Nitto tires, but if you're not hooking so well, it could also have to do with your suspension. You didn't list any suspension mods in your sig. Have you upgraded any of that yet?

I'm running the full UPR Pro Street setup on my car and it hooks like crazy.

+1 on the Contis -- much stickier than the treadwear rating would indicate (300 I think?)

Thanks for the input guys. I have not done any suspension mods, and my car doesn't appear to be lowered. (I've only had her a year)

I was thinking of going 285, but the price jumps about $100 for some reason.

I had the Eibach pro kit on my 03 GT, and she wheel hopped quite a bit... not sure if the springs contributed

I will look into the conti's

I liked these tires, though I figured I'd try the Summitomo HTR Z III's as they're a bit cheaper and seemed to get good reviews from folks who at least claimed to autocross. I autocrossed 4 events as a novice, and got just under 17,000 miles out of the set of Dunlops. I also still have a stock suspension, and nothing else to compare with. I don't think you'll hate them, but I can't really say how they stack up vs. the competition.
