Default Lowering with adjustable dampers?

I have a 2013 GT500 with SVT package (which includes the electronic adjustable dampers). I want to lower the car.

I know typically you get new dampers after replacing springs but I want to keep these dampers since they're electronic adjustable and I paid a lot for them hahaha.

I'm wondering, if I get springs that drop the car 1", will that ruin my dampers?

Thanks

Why is this any different than using lowering springs with aftermarket adjustable dampers? (i.e. Konis, etc.)

An inch isn't that drastic of a drop. I know guys who have been running 1"-1.25" drops on various years for a while-to-long time with no issues. The ride quality on the other hand is a different issue.

If you choose correctly, you can actually experience an improvement in ride over stock.

I have Eibach Pro-kits with Koni Sports, and the ride quality (along with performance) is considerably better than what I got from the stock Brembo Package suspension, especially at highway speeds, where the stock suspension was frustratingly "bouncy".

Back on topic -- the goal is to keep the electronic 2-mode adjustable dampers that came with the car while lowering 1".

I want the 1" drop for improved handling as well as appearance, but I don't want to sacrifice the ability to put it in grandma-soft mode at the push of a button when driving around in San Francisco.

Thanks
