Tire Advice
Hey guys. It's time for a new set of tires for me. I'm currently running a set of Eagle GTs, simple but effective..and now at the end of their life.
I'm leaning on the Eagle F1 but haven't made up my mind. I'm just a Goodyear fan. I was hoping you guys might have some advice for me.
I live an area that sees extremes of all sorts of weather. Summers have rain that can last for 3 days and then reach temps of 110F and winters get as low as 20F. We haven't seen snow in like 20 years so I'm not worried about icy roads, but frozen dew does occur.
I can't afford two sets of tires, so whatever I go with has to be able to handle the whole year. I have my stock 18" fan blades.

I second Nitto 555s if you're on a budget, pretty good performance for the cost. Heard not too many good things about Goodyear F1s around the car forum world.
I originally had BFGoodrich KDW-2 on my car and they were absolutely amazing in rain, far better than the Nittos. I find the Nittos are unpredicatable when they hit a puddle at highway speeds. Even more so when it gets below 50 degrees. I'd go for a KDW-2 if I was living were it rained alot. People gripe about the noise but it didn't bother me since the exhaust is loud anyways. Dry grip is obscene BTW.

Michelin Pilot Super Sports if you can afford them 
KDW-2's if you don't mind road noise. The grip level is absolutely mind blowing. I'm talking the "Make a left hand corner and both lungs will be on the right side of your body" kind of grip. I could also stall the car up and launch as hard as I could and they would just chirp and GO with 4.10's. Wet traction was equally mind blowing. Your brain will explode when you plant it in second and it dead hooks... in a hurricane.
They weren't terribly noisy when new, but I've had mine for around 2-3 years. For at least the past year they have been roaring in a deafening, very uncomfortable manner and have also lost all grip. I currently loathe these tires, but I know they were awesome before they started to wear.
Haven't tried Nittos, but I might have to unless someone else makes a good tire to fit my wheels.

In the GY lineup you might try the Eagle F1 Asymmetric All-Season. They're apparently very new, but the early reviews are promising.
If you're willing to look elsewhere, either Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus or Bridgestone's Potenza RE970AS. I have the Michelins on one of my other cars, and the immediate predecessor to the B'stone (in RE960AS) on another, and both have been solidly usable year round here in NJ.
I'm recommending all-seasons based on your mention of occasional 20° weather and knowing what it's like for summer-only tires to become un-grippy round, hard rocks when cold. The summer-only GY F1 Asymmetrics on my Mustang come off for the cold months.
