Default Rear shock removal

How do you guys get that bolt off the top of the shock in the trunk? How do you hold the threaded part so you can turn the nut? That sumbitch is on there. Any help?

Hopefully u haven't stripped it but the top of the shock has a square 1/4 inch part that will fit an open wrench. You just use an open ratcheting 13 or 15 mm wrench for the base nut.

Hell yes! Thats what I love about forums. Thanks guys that worked. And I did just about strip that one side but I got it. I should probably take the shaker box loose to get to passenger side. Is that as easy as just taking loose the bolts that I can see?

Excellent. I'm glad it came apart. I can't help with the Shaker box. Mine is only the Shaker 500 with the subs in the doors.
