Default Will 17 inch wheels fit on a 2011-12 Mustang GT?

Ideally I would obtain some take-off 17" OEM Bullitt wheels. (I don't like the "all wheel, no tire look" anyway.)

But will they fit on a 2011-12 Mustang GT?

I don't know the answer to your question. I just wanted to say I don't like the all wheel no tire look either!

Depends on your brake package. 17s will not fit on brembos.

So will 17's fit on a 2011-12 Mustang GT with factory standard GT brakes?

I think GT's (pre 2010) had 12.4 inch rotors which will fit with 17" wheels (standard on GT). Don't know if they increased those rotors for 2010+ or not.

So 05-09 V6 front brakes were 11.6 whereas the GT was 12.4. The 10-14 base brakes on the GT are 13.2 and the V6 have the old GT brakes. So unlikely 17s will fit on a current GT.

I used 05-09 OEM 17" wheels on my old 2010 GT for autocrossing and they fit just fine. I believe the standard GT brakes are the same from 10-13 so they will fit.

2011-2012 are the first years with the 13.2" front rotors stock.
17s will not fit if you have the 13.2" front rotors.
I transplanted 13.2" 2012 front brake rotors on my
2007 V6 and 18" rims WERE required.

Get some 18" OEM rims.
Stuff them with 275/40-18s...

Nope they sure won't. Looks like just the rears stayed the same.

no, the stock v6 wheels will not fit on a GT because the front rotors are larger and the caliper stands out further and will not clear the inside of the rim, you need at least 18"'s to fit a GT.
