Default road force balance

So I have been having ongoing issues with my tires being balanced. The car had been checked for alignment 3 times and had the control arms replaced. When they did a normal wheel balance on it the wheels would come up balanced but when I got in the car it shook like an old shopping cart after 60mph and got increasingly worse as the speed increased. So I took the car in again and they told me to take it to the dealer for a road force balance. The road force balance was able to fix the issue, I had never heard of this before been looking online and just thought I would share it with everyone in case anyone had simalar issues. here is a youtube video I found explaining what they do and why!

actually, that is the same machine we have at our dealer. sometimes it does get annoying with the placement of weights (sometimes it will forever say imbalanced).

Interesting, my 2013 has a shake and is at the dealer right now trying to chase it down. I put new tires on it, and had them rebalanced twice. Still getting a shake starting at 60. The tech said last night that he was going to try a road force balance on it. Hopefully that works.

yep, a lot of places do this...but I think it's an extra cost....very much worth it in the end, for a nicer ride

One of the dealers in Aurora has an RB machine and I asked how much to mount new skins on the shelby (I already have them) and it was either 12 or 20 bucks a wheel. To me that is totally worth it.

It's Good that you found the Road Force Balancing Machine. In my opinion, it's the only way to go. It's been around for quite a while..

had mine road force balanced and they are perfect. Cost like 200$ to have all 4 tires mounted and balanced though
