2005 LCA replacement suggestions
the koni Str.ts are amazing and priced rather well vs competitors. yes they are non adjustable, but if you dont track the car, you dont need adjustables. I had adjustable struts on my Fox, and I played with them for a month before never touching them again. the Str.ts offer a very nice ride. I have them with Ford Racing K-springs. the car looks good hunkered down and the ride is firm but forgiving.
also, if you want to go with the GT500 arms they are a thicker steel than the stock GT stuff from what ive read. Im thinking about going with them myself....

I sell a lot of STR.T's. I have a set on a 325is that I bought for $1500 as a winter beater. A few years back I had another 325is, and it had Koni Sports on it.
I run the same wheels/tires on both, and in this case both are on stock suspension otherwise (with good control arms, etc). Here's my take, and frankly it's pretty much what I tell everyone....
STR.T's offer better control than typical replacement dampers. They can adequately handle reasonable lowering springs for most situations where the car isn't being pushed super hard. Sports offer better control, and feel more crisp. Even in my case with these beater BMW's on performance winters, I prefer the Sports over STR.T's myself by a little. I do live on a really fun road, and one that is not glass smooth so body motion control is important to me.
Really what I think is that if you are a "Driver" more than a cruiser, I think you should look at Sports over STR.T. If you are looking to freshen a stock suspension, or make a competent setup for more cruising or highway only driving the STR.T's offer you that for less money... But I can't think of anyone who opted for Sports that chooses to run them softer more in the range of damping the STR.T's have.

^^This.
I'm at +2F/+2R on the Koni Sports in my 2011 5.0 daily driver. It's a bit stiff on the gravel road I live on, but out on the pavement, the handling and ride quality are good.
Considering the idea is to make this my "fun" car once I pick up something else I can use as a DD, I would want to go with an adjustable setup methinks. Thanks for the advice/help guys.
Thanks Sam. I'll be ordering from you in the near future. I guess the setup would be the same as bakerjd noted with Steeda Sports/Koni Sports/Steeda HD Mounts as well as the Ford racing front LCAs. Any other necessaries like the adjustable panhard needed?
I'll be here and happy to answer any questions.
Anything else required or necessary? No. You'll hear an adjustable PHB is, but I don't call it necessary, though you might opt for one at some point.. it's easily added at any time.
