Brakes sucks Ford GT 2005!
Hi
We have discovered after som miles driving, that the brakes dont fit the rest of the cars performance.. What kit do you use and why... I dont want to spend a fortune, but quality cost I know...
Best Regards
Fredrik

it says right in the link that they require 19 inch wheels

Technical Notes. This brake kit will require the use of Ford Racing wheels M-1007-SA199, M-1007-DC199LGB, M-1007-SA1995MB or wheel kits M-1007KIT-DC19910LGB, M-1007KIT-DC199B, M-1007KIT-DC199CH, M-1007KIT-DC199LGB, M-1007KIT-SA199, M-1007KIT-SA19910 or equivalent for correct caliper clearance, all other styles should be test fit to ensure proper fitment."

As said above, you will need AT LEAST 19" wheel and even then some 19" wheels probably won't be able to fit these. Make sure you have the space inside the wheel before ordering them or you will be sorry.
I personally went with the 4-pot fronts but I got mine from a salvage GT500 and only paid $600 for them, I spent the extra $600 to get the Baer Eradispeed 14" rear offset kit with the 2-piece rotor and I will be ordering 2-piece front rotors soon to match.
Maybe you are thinking of the 4-pot Brembo system, but this is the 6-pot 15" Brembo system. I barely fit the 4-pot inside my Series 1 Ultra-lites and they are some of the roomiest 18" wheels you can get.

You can find some of the 6 pot setups on ebay for around 1200$ slightly used.
They go on a 200 mph capable stock car, you really probably arent going to need brakes this good. Stopping hard with good tires gives me a headache with the normal non-brembo GT brakes lol.

"Streetable" lower-level XP track pads, Centric rotors, and Motul RBF600 brake fluid is all I've done to the brakes on my '08 GT, and I'm outbraking most of the other cars that show up in my (intermediate) run groups at various road course track days without much pedal effort required, and I do drive with them on the street. I've put "streetable" in quotes because that does depend on you having some tolerance for more dust and occasional noise, and an awareness that cold bite can sometimes be a bit "soft" until a little heat is built up.
For street driving only, you would probably be better served with a less aggressive than track pad, something in a performance street such as Carbotech's Bobcat/1521 or their AX6 autocross pad. Carbotechs do seem to go easy on rotors, unlike Hawks in HP+ or higher that wear rotors much more rapidly.
