Can someone please help me here I'm looking to get 20x10.5 rear wheels that have a +45 offset and 7.5" backspace with 285/30/20 tire wrapping it the front wheels are 20x9 with a +38 offset and 6.5" backspace with 255/35/20 tire wrapping it my car is lowered about 1" maybe a touch more with brake caliper covers my concern is will this setup work with what I have or will I have tire rub issues or sticking out to far on either the front or back any information would be fantastic thanks in advance

 

Wheel brand/model? I have 18x9 in the front and 18x10 in the rear with 255/45 and 285/40 respectively. These are my wheels:

Size: 18x9
Offset: +38mm
Backspacing: 6.49
Lug Pattern: 5x114.3

Size: 18x10
Offset: +42mm
Backspacing: 7.15
Lug Pattern: 5x114.3

Fit is perfect, with no rubbing and no sticking out. Since you're basically only increasing diameter as long as you keep the offset and backspacing the same or close to mine you shouldn't have any problems.

I have a wheel and tire configuration similar to your specifications except for the tires. My Vossen CV3-R combination is: Rear 20 x 10.5 7.5" BS +45 Offset with 315/35ZR20 and front 20 x 9 6.2" BS +32 Offset with 245/40ZR20.

You should have no issue in the front. I was concerned about brake clearance with Baer 6P 14" rotors but there is more than adequate clearance with the Vossen wheels.



There are no issues with the TPMS valve stem sensor clearing the calipers.



In my opinion the OEM rotors look pretty small with 20" wheels.



My car is bagged with an Air Lift performance suspension and is shown here aired-out. My differential has been shortened 1" per side and I do not have any issues with the 315's rubbing. I would expect 285's with a 30 sidewall aspect ratio only lowered an inch should be fine.

 

What are those blocks you have the car on?

 

12" Race Ramps Wheel Cribs, not cheap but very light and strong.

 

Your front wheels/tires should sit about the same on the outside as the 255/45-18 GT500 setup (on 9.5" wide +45 offset wheels). And you'll have more strut-side (inside) clearance.


Out back, picture your tire being only a little further "out" (most likely less than 3/8" further) and about half an inch closer to the sheetmetal vertically than this ↓↓↓ . Car in the picture was not lowered. Expect axle centering to come into play here, maybe even if your car is NOT lowered. Your choice of an adjustable PHB or a Watts link.
