Hey guys working on my new Eibach pro kit install at home. Mind you, I'm not a mechanic in any sense of the word but I have since done my sway bar end links, tie rod end links, and replaced the bushings on my sway bar.

That being said, I figured I would tackle this easy project which has taken me a day and a half to get one rear strut and spring in. I have an 06 Mustang Convertible and it's difficult to say the least to get in my trunk (I'm 6'2" 240lbs) to get the bolts untightend. Trying to hold the 6mm wrench while trying to untighten the 15mm bold is a b*tch. There is no room in the trunk to put the impact gun or my fat a** .

Any tricks to getting these loose? I've tried WD40 on the bolt for the past 2 days and no luck.

When I did the rear shocks on my '95, I saw that the stud was fixed to the upper shield of the shock. So what I did was: have an assistant hold the upper portion of the shock with a rubber strap wrench (and a cheater pipe), while I loosened the nut up top. I used the same method for installation of the new shock.

Hm, I didn't have any issues with the upper nuts on my rear shocks, they came right off. I can't remember if I used a socket or vise grips on the top of the stud but both are easier than trying to use a tiny little wrench in there. Sorry to hear you had so many issues.
