What is the best wheel/tire combo for autocross with 2011 Mustang GT Brembo package with Steeda 2" lowering springs?

Just bought the car and it has staggered 20" aftermarket wheels and tires.

I want to get the appropriate wheels and tires before I burn up a set of the expensive 20's.

I think the first thing you're going to have to do is figure out the lowest-preparation-level class or classes your car will fit in, given that just those lowering springs alone will bump you out of F-Street. My first thought would be CAM-C (Classic American Muscle - Contemporary) for SCCA events, don't know much about any others.

If you're going to be semi-serious about this or better, you'll want to square up the wheel and tire sizes to at least 10" wide on the wheels and 285/xx on the tires (all four corners) if you go with 18's, or maybe 305/30's on 19x10.5's, if those fit within class limits. Dedicate these for your competition and save your 20's for your street driving.

You could even go 11" wide, though getting everything to fit without any rubbing can be a bit fussier. The car in my sig wears 285/35-18's on 18x11's all around, just that these days it runs on the big tracks (road courses, HPDE) as opposed to autocross.
