K&N Drop in Filter

RE: K&N Drop in Filter
No doubt oiled filters flow better than paper, but I'd be real skeptical of anything K&N claims. This is the same K&N that told me I wouldn't need a tune with their CAI on the GT500....yea if I like windows in my block!

RE: K&N Drop in Filter
I never got the K&N. At the time I was new to GT500's and was just looking around for a CAI. In my search I came across the K&N. I was going to buy it but I heard from several forum members that you can't run a CAI on these SC motors without a tune or bad things will happen (over-lean). For the hell ofit Icalled K&N and they swore that you didn't need a tune to run their CAI. I reminded them that this is a SC motor, but they suck with their position.Sorry, I don't buy it.

RE: K&N Drop in Filter
Justin at VMP Tuning said that he dyno'ed the K&N Drop in filter and lost power over the factory filter. He recommends the factory filter over the K&N. He said the factory filter was actually a pretty good filter.
