How many of you guys use your 500 as a daily driver. I commute about 40 miles a day and am not interested in buying another car as a DD. I may be in a position to buy a new Shelby (white with blue stripes) in the next few months. If I have this opportunity, I would love to take it.

i use mine as a DD... the i usually dont drive it though when they are calling for bad weather.. then i bring out the beater, but other than that... it goes from home to work.... work to home..... home to the track.... track back home..... lol at least thats mine.. and i average decent on gas.... about 23-24 with a mix of city and highway.... on striaght city im getting around 13-16ish depending.... so not to bad....

 

I do not drive mine daily.......shoot, I am just learning to drive it correctly. [8D]

I drive mine to work and back once a week. (I drive tothe airportand park it in covered parking and then I am gone for 4 days, then I drive it back home). I sometimes drive it around my neighborhood on the weekends. I put about 125 miles a week on it.

 

I don't have a Shelby GT500 but I have a Shelby GT that is my DD. I get ALOT of looks, even here in LA. I LOVE this car. Its a great all around piece of transportation.

 

I dont drive it daily. I have an office car but I do sometimes bring it to work. It so much fun to drive and the attention it draws is also fun. Considering the cars driven on the streets here in LA, it feels nice when a guy in a Lambo gives you a thumbs up and genuinely shows respect for your car.

 

DD here....about 80-100 miles weekly...
